The Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe holds its annual Celebration of Generations Pow Wow at the Sauk-Suiattle Pow Wow Grounds near Darrington – a cultural celebration of traditional dancing, drumming, singing, food, and crafts, open to the public and welcoming visitors from across the region.

For pilots: Darrington Municipal 1S2 is the nearest field, a scenic flight up the Sauk River valley. The grounds are on the reservation north of town, so you’ll want to arrange ground transportation. The airport is day-VFR with no fuel and no services – top off before you come and bring your own tie-downs. Town has food, coffee, and a grocery store within walking distance, and the Darrington Motor Inn for an overnight.
